shamelessly.

Invited in much too unlikely, but slided through the half-open door. Half brained but quick wit it, and dug a hole with clawed hands. A dog backed against the corner. Opened the sliver of a smile, dancing tenderly in the shadows of the room. The nest of crows was shaken down by the aging and hot tempered neighbor. It was a murderous laugh that slipped through painful, charred gasps. Fear replaced by Courage replaced by Fear and unturned again. Constantly changing but never unmade. At times hiding in the light while stretching within the darkness. Much too timid to remember yesterday tomorrow. No more. No more hiding. Today, I take the stage.
